Residents of Epe community, on Wednesday, hails Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his palliative measures put in place to cushion residents’ hardship during this coronavirus pandemic amid lockdown.
Some of the residents in a separate interview with Eko Hot Blog correspondent, in Epe, commended Dr. Shakirudeen Onasanya, the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture, for his fair distributions of relief food items to the vulnerable in Eredo and Epe at large.
The residents told our correspondent that the pattern of sharing of food items by Dr. Onasanya was commendable and it’s caught across to all the less privileged and the vulnerable in Epe communities.
According to a beneficiary, Alhaja Motunrayo Adekoya, told Eko Hot Blog correspondent, that the food items got to her in her resident at Noforija, in Eredo LCDA.
She expressed her appreciation for the kind gesture of Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for sustainable development Initiative put in place during this global pandemic challenges.
“I am a trader, I eat when I trade but with this stay at home order, I can’t work neither trade.

“But, with the food packs I received from Dr. Onasanya, I will manage it with my family pending the time the pandemic challenges will be all over, ” she said.
Also, Mr. Tunde Agbomeji, a resident in Epe community, appreciated Dr. Onasanya for his fair distributions patterns of food items to the needy.
Agbomeji said that the food was shared inline with Lagos State Government directive and I commended him for that fairness.
“I pray to God to bring this pandemic to an end soon.
“It is not easy to be on lockdown for long but it will help us to avoid further spread of the virus, ” he said.
Mrs Iyabo Oluyemi, a resident, told our correspondent, that the government had done enough but the enough is not well appreciated until it reaches all and sundry.
Oluyemi said that “Although money and food have been shared in so many localities in Epe it has not gone round.
“As Olive Twist, we need more food relief items and money to cushion our suffering during this extended lockdown.
“People are lamenting, people are suffering and people are crying, the hardship is becoming unbearable.
“The government should look beyond the olds and caption the vulnerable youths for support, ” she said.
Alhaja Waheed Ismaila, another resident, in Eredo-Epe, commended Lagos State Government for the roll out bumper palliatives for the indigenes and vulnerable youths in the state as lockdown continues.
He further called on the government to increase it’s security surveillance across the state to combat robbery and stealing during this hard time.
“It is a good move from the Lagos State Government to support the vulnerable youths during this period.
“This is to ameliorate the inconveniences experienced by the youth and the less privileged ones in the state, ” he said.
