Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, is self-isolating after some of his close aides and a family member tested positive for COVID-19, Eko Hot Blog can confirm.
El-Rufai announced the development in a short video on Friday and explained that he decided to go into self-isolation as a precautionary move that complies with the standard COVID-19 protocols until he undergoes a test on Sunday.

He, therefore, appealed to residents of the state to adhere to all the safety protocols against COVID-19 including regular hand washing, avoiding large gatherings especially during this Yuletide season and wearing their facemask always.
The Governor, less than 48 hours ago, had threatened to impose a second lockdown in the state if the spike in the number of cases does not cease.
If he tests positive, it would be the second time El-Rufai would contract the deadly virus since its outbreak in March.
