The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu demonstrates virtues of outstanding leadership particularly his efforts to mitigate the impact of coronavirus in Lagos, in this trying times, that makes him or qualify him to be a better President than President Muhammad Buhari says Reno Omokri. Ekohotblog understands that the former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan attributed the reason for the statement to President Muhammadu Buhari’s conspicuous absence from the public glare and his inability to rally Nigerians in this difficult time.
Omokri, however, challenged President Muhammadu Buhari to come out of his hiding, go to NTA and address Nigerians.
Omokri wondered how President Buhari could go into hiding at a time the country was faced with its greatest public health challenge ever.
The former presidential aide wants the President to hand over to the Governor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu if he (Buhari) cannot lead the country.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed on Thursday debunked the rumours that Buhari has also contracted the dreaded virus.
But in a series of tweets on Thursday night, Omokri recalled how Buhari asked Late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua to resign in 2010 for ‘non-appearance’ while Nigeria faced a crisis.
Ekohotblog captured some of Reno Omokri’s tweet, see below
“Go on the @NTANewsNow, that you wanted to spend $500 million digitizing, and digitally speak to Nigerians!
“On March 10, 2010, General @MBuhari asked then-President Umar Musa Yar’adua to resign over his ‘non-appearance’ while Nigeria faced a crisis. Today, Nigeria faces a far bigger crisis. Yet, Nigerians have not seen or heard from Buhari for 5 days!”
