COVID-19 In Nigeria: Religious Centres To Remain Closed In Lagos

The Lagos State Government has announced that Churches and Mosques in the state will remain closed.

The Commissioner for Home Affairs, Prince Anofiu Elegushi, made this known on Tuesday that Lagos being the epicentre of the COVID-19 in Nigeria would only reopen worship centres until there is a “clear coast for the state to do so”.

He said this on the sideline of the 2020 Ministerial Press Briefing commemorating the first year in office of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Meanwhile, Ekohotblog understands that the Federal Government has lifted ban on religious centres across the nation on Monday, June 1, based on guidelines and protocols agreed with state governments.
