The governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwolu, said the use of face masks is compulsory in the state from Monday henceforth.
Sanwo-Olu said this immediately after the president of the country, Muhammad Buhari, completed his speech on lockdown, where the president said Lagos, Ogun, and Abuja should maintain one more week lockdown while Kano State should start a two-week lockdown.

Sanwo-Olu only affirmed the use of the face masks by Lagosians because the presidents said it in his speech that citizens without face masks may be arrested for that.
“Let us obey the government order so that we can be all free of coronavirus,” he said.
