COVID-19: Lagos Shuts Down Health Centre As Workers Test Positive

Lagos state has closed one of its primary health center as workers contract the virulent COVID-19 infection, a statement from one of the state municipal governments has announced.

Immediate contact tracing of the health workers colleagues and associates as well as patients who visited the facility in the last few days has been ordered, a statement from Mosunmola Olabige, chief press secretary to the chairman also disclosed.

“In a swift reaction to contain and avert the spread of coronavirus in the communities, the Chairman of Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA has ordered the immediate closure of the Meiran Primary Health Centre,” a statement issued on Sunday by Olabige reads.
