The Lagos State Office Of Education quality assurance (OEQA) has started a COVID-19 safety and hygiene compliance gliding exercise in order to ensure that schools follow the safety measures, recommended by the Federal and the State Governments.
The Director General and leader of the monitoring team, Mrs. Abiola Seriki-Ayeni stated this when she led her team to some schools in the state, on the first day of the WASSCE.

She noted that schools were expected to have sanitation managers that would ensure all environmental and health protocols were observed without compromise on the prevention of the spread of COVID-19.
Mrs Seriki-Ayeni explained that the exercise, which goes through the six education districts, is aimed at supervising the ongoing examinations to guard against malpractice and ensure that public and private schools meet the recommended safety standards for reopening.
