The Director-General, Lagos State Safety Commission (LSC), Mr. Lanre Mojola, and the General Manager, Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), Dr. Dolapo Fasawe, have urged Lagosians to continue to comply with the social distancing, basic hygiene practices, and restriction on public gathering directives of the State Government to stop the spread of the Coronavirus disease in Lagos.
Eko Hot Blog learned that Mojola declared that the joint task force team is to sensitize and distribute stimulus welfare packages to the community following the lockdown caused by the pandemic.
According to him, social distancing at this period is crucial to flattening the curve and breaking the cycle of transmission of the virus.

He said: “Maintaining social distancing, as well as constant washing of hands with soap and water, regular use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers, cleaning of frequently touched surfaces and self-isolation, are key to ensuring the safety of lives. People should also call for help if symptoms of acute respiratory infection such as coughing, sneezing, sore throat, and difficulty in breathing occur”.
General Manager, Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), Dr. Dolapo Fasawe noted that the joint task force will continue to enforce order until people understand and appreciate the importance of social distancing and self-isolation to ward off the current global pandemic.
