COVID-19: Man Donates To Community, Charges Politicians and Elected Officers To Do More
A man, Suarau Azeez Oladimeji (Brain), has donated foodstuff and soft drinks to members of his community as a means of cushioning the effect of the coronavirus lockdown on the people.
Oladimeji, a resident of Olowo in the Obawole area of Lagos State, said that though he is a private citizen, everybody has a role to play during the pandemic.
He said, “When I look around, I feel I can do something, no matter how little it is to help the people.
“I have been living here for a long time and I see the hopelessness in people, especially during this difficult time.
“This is to complement the efforts of the state governor, Babjide Sanwo-Olu, Local Government Chairman, Toba Oke and The Member, Lagos House of Assembly, Hon. Temitope Adewale, in giving out palliatives to the people. I call on elected officers and our politicians to do more at this particular time. The people need them more than ever”.
Some of those who benefited from the food item and soft drinks are the aged, the vulnerable and some youths within the community.
