As a requisite and timely measure to curtail the spread of coronavirus disease, Michael Otedola College of Primary Education (MOCPED) has built up a sophisticated COVID-19 three-in-one hygiene initiative that is deployed for use in the Institution.
The hand-sanity station machine which is developed by Dr Salako of the Agric Department does not require any hand touch from the user, as it comprises three foot pedals which allow the user to access detergent, water and and hand sanitizer mounted on the device panel by just prodding the desired foot pedal. It contains hose drains waste water which may contain coronavirus to a nearby ground for proper disposal. It has equally consists of soap dispenser which can numerous users at each refill.

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, many Nigerian Institutions have devised innovative ways by developing sophisticated devices such as ventilators for curbing the COVID-19 pandemic which Michael Otedola College of Primary Education has equally borrowed a leaf, making it the first College of Education in Nigeria to achieve such enviable feat.
The Institution is grounded in providing fundamental research activities which are meant to prepare solid foundations for innovations and innovations and applied research directed at addressing practical problems in Nigeria or the society at large; the feats that MOCPED have been able to attain as result of the friendly and viable environment that is provided by the Provost of the College, Associate Professor Onibon Nosiru.
The ground-breaking scientific innovation at this trying era of the ravaging coronavirus disease has once again consolidated the Motto of the MOCPED which states, ‘WE ARE MOCPED, WE ARE GREAT’.
