EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 233,353 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated December 23, the NCDC reports 1,940 new cases with no COVID-related death.

The new cases were reported in 15 states – Lagos-845, FCT-734, Oyo-120, Rivers-69, Delta-30, Kaduna-29, Edo-21, Plateau-20, Gombe-14, Anambra-11, Enugu-11, Osun-10, Ekiti-8, Kano-5, Bayelsa-4, Ogun-4, Katsina-3, Buachi-1 and Jigawa-1.
According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Ondo and Sokoto States.
It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 212,040 cases have been discharged while the death toll still stands at 2,991.
