EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 231,413 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated December 22, the NCDC reports 4,035 new cases with 2 COVID-related death.

The new cases were reported in 15 states – Lagos-3393, Rivers-260, Edo-62, Akwa Ibom-42, Kaduna-39, Ekiti-38, Oyo-38, Delta-31, Kano-31, Ogun 30, Abia-26, Bauchi-15, Ondo-14, Enugu-9 and Kwara-7.
According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Gombe, Osun and Sokoto States.
It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 211,853 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,991.
