[COVID-19] NCDC Announces 228 Fresh Infections

  • Total cases confirmed – 252,187
  • Total cases discharged – 226,408
  • Total deaths recorded – 3,124

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 252,187 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated January 22, the NCDC reports 228 new cases with no COVID-related death.

The new cases were reported in 14 states – FCT (110), Gombe (38), Lagos (32), Osun (14), Taraba (12), Imo (5), Kaduna (5), Rivers (4), Borno (2), Kano (2), Bauchi (1), Delta (1), Ekiti (1) and Ogun (1).

According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Edo, Ondo and Sokoto States.

It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 226,408 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 3,124.
