[COVID-19] NCDC Announces 241 New Cases, Two Fatalities

  • Total cases confirmed – 252,428
  • Total cases discharged – 227,004
  • Total deaths recorded – 3,126

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 252,428 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated January 24, the NCDC reports 241 new cases with 2 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 9 states – Taraba-98, Rivers-66, Lagos-35, FCT-20, Delta-13, Kwara-3, Abia-2, Nasarawa-2 and Plateau-2.

According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Cross River, Ekiti, Kano, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo and Sokoto States.

It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 227,004 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 3,126.
