COVID-19: NCDC Announces 39 New Cases

  • Total cases confirmed – 167,142
  • Total cases discharged – 163,535
  • Total deaths recorded – 2,117

The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has shown that Nigeria has recorded a total of 167,142 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated June 17, the NCDC reports 39 new cases with no COVID-related fatalities.

The new infections were recorded in 6 states – Lagos-34, Ebonyi-1, Ekiti-1, FCT-1, Jigawa-1 and Rivers-1.

EKO HOT BLOG gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 163,535 cases have been discharged while the death toll still stands at 2,117.

According to the NCDC, no cases were reported in Kaduna, Kano, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Plateau and Sokoto States.
