EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 249,154 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated January 11, the NCDC reports 422 new cases with 1 COVID-related death.

The new cases were reported in 15 states – Rivers (178), Kwara (87), FCT (57), Borno (20), Kaduna (17), Plateau (14), Katsina (12), Delta (6), Edo (6), Jigawa (6), Anambra (5), Ekiti (5), Oyo (5), Ogun (3), Nasarawa (1).
According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Abia, Sokoto and Zamfara States.
It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 220,195 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 3,086.
