EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 249,586 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated January 12, the NCDC reports 432 new cases with 6 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 15 states – Lagos-163, Rivers-109, Imo-27, Edo-16, Kaduna-15, Kwara-14, FCT-13, Oyo-13, Kano-12, Akwa Ibom-10, Delta-10, Bauchi-9, Jigawa-9, Ekiti-8 and Borno-4.
According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Plateau and Sokoto States.
It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 220,839 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 3,092.
