COVID-19: NCDC Announces 535 New Cases, Highest In Four Months
- Total cases confirmed – 172,263
- Total cases discharged – 164,886
- Total deaths recorded – 2,139
The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 172,263 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated July 28, the NCDC reports 535 new cases with five COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 18 states – Lagos-219, Akwa Ibom-142, Oyo-47, Rivers-17, Jigawa-13, Edo-13, Ekiti-11, Bayelsa-11, Ondo-10, Osun-9, Plateau-8, Ogun-7, Kaduna-7, Kano-5, FCT-5, Imo-4, Gombe-4 and Nasarawa-3.
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Sokoto State.
EKO HOT BLOG gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 164,886 cases have been discharged while the death toll still stands at 2,139.
