[COVID-19] NCDC Announces 6 Deaths, 163 New Cases

• Total cases confirmed – 251,341
• Total cases discharged – 224,939
• Total deaths recorded – 3,116

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 251,341 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated January 18, the NCDC reports 163 new cases with 6 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 13 states – Lagos-59, FCT-33, Delta-16, Kaduna-13, Gombe-12, Osun-12, Ogun-4, Ekiti-3, Oyo-3, Rivers-3, Borno-2, Imo-2 and Nasarawa-1.

According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Bauchi, Plateau and Sokoto States.

It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 224,939 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 3,116.
