The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 188,880 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated August 25, the NCDC reports 637 new cases with 7 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in the FCT and 18 states – Lagos-322, Rivers-70, Edo-54, Delta-34, Akwa Ibom-31, Kwara-31, FCT-29, Ekiti-17, Ogun-14, Osun-10, Kebbi-8, Cross River-5, Plateau-3, Taraba-3, Kaduna-2, Bayelsa-2, Benue-1, Enugu-1 and Kano-1.
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Gombe, Kano, Nasarawa, Oyo, Sokoto and Zamfara.
