[COVID-19] NCDC Announces 637 New Cases, Seven Fatalities

  • Total cases confirmed – 188,880
  • Total cases discharged – 169,382
  • Total deaths recorded – 2,288

The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 188,880 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated August 25, the NCDC reports 637 new cases with 7 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in the FCT and 18 states – Lagos-322, Rivers-70, Edo-54, Delta-34, Akwa Ibom-31, Kwara-31, FCT-29, Ekiti-17, Ogun-14, Osun-10, Kebbi-8, Cross River-5, Plateau-3, Taraba-3, Kaduna-2, Bayelsa-2, Benue-1, Enugu-1 and Kano-1.

According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Gombe, Kano, Nasarawa, Oyo, Sokoto and Zamfara.

EKO HOT BLOG gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 169,382 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,288.
