The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 190,983 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated August 28, the NCDC reports 650 new cases with 53 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in the FCT and 16 states – Lagos-261, Ondo-95, Rivers-80, Akwa Ibom-59, Oyo-24, Ekiti-22, Delta-20, Edo-18, Enugu-15, Bayelsa-14, Ogun-11, Kaduna-8, Plateau-7, Kano-6, FCT-5, Gombe-3 and Abia-2.
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Borno, Nasarawa, Ondo and Sokoto.
