The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 185,267 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated August 19, the NCDC reports 674 new cases with 8 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in the FCT and 16 states – Lagos-355, Rivers-87, FCT-38, Ogun-33, Akwa Ibom-32, Oyo-32, Edo-22, Ekiti-20, Kwara-17, Delta-12, Bayelsa-8, Gombe-5, Kaduna-4, Osun-4, Enugu-2, Nasarawa-2 and Plateau-1.
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Abia, Kano and Ondo States.
