The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 189,715 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated August 26, the NCDC reports 835 new cases with 10 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in the FCT and 19 states – Rivers-263, Lagos-217, Oyo-128, Edo-45, Kwara-42, FCT-37, Ekiti-35, Ogun-13, Akwa Ibom-11, Imo-11, Bayelsa-10, Plateau-7, Delta-4, Kaduna-3, Benue-2, Niger-2, Sokoto-2, Abia-1, Ebonyi-1 and Nasarawa-1.
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Borno and Kano.
