The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 186,635 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated August 20, the NCDC reports 1,064 new cases with 13 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in the FCT and 9 states – Lagos-776, Rivers-143, Ekiti-49, Kwara-33, Ogun-21, Benue-18, Oyo-13, FCT-5, Osun-4 and Yobe-2.
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Abia, Imo, Kano, Nasarawa, Ondo, Plateau and Sokoto.
