[COVID-19] NCDC Confirms 1,149 New Cases, Seven Deaths

• Total cases confirmed – 183,593
• Total cases discharged – 167,738
• Total deaths recorded – 2,236

The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 183,593 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated August 18, the NCDC reports 1,149 new cases with 7 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 16 states – Lagos-680, Rivers-157, Akwa Ibom-94, Oyo-56, Edo-36, FCT-34, Ogun-31, Ekiti-20, Delta-16, Abia-5, Nasarawa-4, Osun-5, Cross River-4, Plateau-3, Sokoto-2 and Kano-1.

According to the NCDC, no case was in reported in Ondo State.
