COVID-19: NCDC Confirms 119 New Cases In 6 States, Total Now 62,111

At least two persons died from COVID-19 complications on Monday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has disclosed.

The agency made the disclosure in its daily updates and situation reports of the virulent infection.

It also announced that 119 samples collected for testing returned positive, representing a slight increase from number positive samples from Sunday when the country recorded 117 new cases.

The  the total number COVID-19 cases now stands  at 62,111. 107 patients were also discharged on Monday leaving the recovery figure at 57,571.

Two new fatalities were also confirmed in the period under review bringing the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 1132.
