EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 234,709 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated December 24, the NCDC reports 1,356 new cases with two COVID-related death.

The new cases were reported in 12 states – Lagos (822), Rivers (119), Kwara (107), FCT (103), Edo (97), Kano (29), Imo (25), Delta (19), Plateau (14), Borno (10), Gombe (8) and Bauchi (3)
According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Ondo and Sokoto States.
It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 212,237 cases have been discharged while the death toll still stands at 2,991.
