EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 251,571 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated January 19, the NCDC reports 230 new cases with 1 COVID-related death.

The new cases were reported in 14 states – Lagos-115, Gombe-29, FCT-24, Imo-20, Rivers-10, Ondo-9, Kano-5, Abia-4, Kaduna-4, Oyo-4, Kebbi-2, Ogun-2, Borno-1 and Jigawa-1.
According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Ekiti, Nasarawa, Osun, Plateau and Sokoto States.

It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 225,280 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 3,117.
