The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 187,023 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated August 21, the NCDC reports 308 new cases with 8 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in the FCT and 11 states – Lagos-166, Akwa Ibom-89, Rivers-76, Oyo-15, Edo-12, Benue-11, Delta-7, FCT-4, Ogun-4, Katsina-2, Gombe-1 and Nasarawa-1.
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Ekiti, Kaduna, Kano, Ondo, Plateau and Sokoto States.
