COVID-19: NCDC Confirms 444 New Infections, 11 Deaths

  • Total cases confirmed – 174,759
  • Total cases discharged – 165,037
  • Total deaths recorded – 2,160

The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 174,759 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated August 2, the NCDC reports 444 new cases with 11 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 13 states – Lagos-275, Rivers-63, Akwa Ibom-62, Gombe-22, Ogun-8, FCT-4, Edo-3, Imo-2, Kano-1, Nasarawa-1, Sokoto-1, Jigawa-1 and Ebonyi-1.

According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Ekiti, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Kaduna and Bauchi States.

EKO HOT BLOG gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 165,037 cases have been discharged while the death toll still stands at 2,160.
