The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 174,759 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated August 2, the NCDC reports 444 new cases with 11 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 13 states – Lagos-275, Rivers-63, Akwa Ibom-62, Gombe-22, Ogun-8, FCT-4, Edo-3, Imo-2, Kano-1, Nasarawa-1, Sokoto-1, Jigawa-1 and Ebonyi-1.
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Ekiti, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Kaduna and Bauchi States.
