COVID-19: NCDC Confirms 505 New Infections, Three Fatalities

• Total cases confirmed – 175,264
• Total cases discharged – 165,122
• Total deaths recorded – 2,163

The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 175,264 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated August 3, the NCDC reports 505 new cases with 3 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 14 states – Lagos-273, Rivers-83, Oyo-45, Ondo-22, Cross River-18, Kaduna-13, Ogun-10, Gombe-10, FCT-8, Ekiti-7, Delta-6, Bayelsa-3, Edo-2 and Niger-1.

According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Plateau, Sokoto, Nasarawa and Osun.

EKO HOT BLOG gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 165,122 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,163.
