[COVID-19] NCDC Confirms 559 Fresh Cases, 5 Fatalities

• Total cases confirmed – 197,046
• Total cases discharged – 185,379
• Total deaths recorded – 2,578

The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 197,046 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated September 8, the NCDC reports 559 new cases with 5 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in the FCT and 14 states – Lagos-232, Rivers-83, Enugu-66, Oyo-28, Kaduna-25, FCT-24, Delta-22, Akwa Ibom-19, Kwara-18, Ekiti-13, Bayelsa-9, Cross River-9, Ogun-6, Kano-3 and Gombe-2.

According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Nasarawa, Ondo, Osun, Plateau and Sokoto States.

EKO HOT BLOG gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 185,379 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,578.
