The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 196,487 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated September 7, the NCDC reports 597 new cases with 17 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in the FCT and 13 states – Lagos-204, Rivers-89, Edo-65, FCT-50, Oyo-47, Enugu-46, Ekiti-24, Cross River-17, Delta-15, Gombe-15, Osun-12, Plateau-6, Benue-5 and Kano-2.
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Abia, Nasarawa, Ondo and Sokoto States.
