The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 179,118 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated August 10, the NCDC reports 610 new cases with 2 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 13 states – Lagos-281, Rivers-152, Akwa Ibom-85, Ogun-21, Oyo-21, Ekiti-14, FCT-13, Delta-7, Edo-6, Ondo-4, Bayelsa-2, Kano-2 and Plateau-2.
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Kaduna and Sokoto.
