EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 243,450 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated January 3, the NCDC reports 670 new cases with 6 COVID-related death.

The new cases were reported in 11 states – Lagos (277), Kaduna (199), FCT (120), Kwara (20), Abia (14), Rivers (11), Gombe (9), Katsina (9), Bauchi (6), Edo (3) and Cross River (2).
According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Plateau and Sokoto States.
It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 215,352 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 3,045.
