COVID-19: NCDC Confirms 71 New Cases, One Death

  • Total cases confirmed – 163,652
  • Total cases discharged – 154,073
  • Total deaths recorded – 2,059

The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has shown that Nigeria has recorded a total of 163,652 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated April 9, the NCDC reports 71 new cases with 1 COVID-related fatality recorded.

The new infections were recorded in 10 states — Lagos-24, Yobe-13, Rivers-9, Akwa Ibom-6, FCT-6, Kano-6, Osun-3, Delta-2, Jigawa-1 and Plateau-1.

Eko Hot Blog gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 154,073 cases have been discharged while the death toll stands at 2,059.
