COVID-19: NCDC Confirms 758 New Cases As Death Toll Hits 1,200
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has disclosed that Nigeria now has a total of 74,132 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus disease.
In its latest case update dated December 15, 2020, the NCDC said 758 new confirmed cases and 3 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.
The 758 new cases were recorded in 19 states: FCT (305), Lagos (152), Kaduna (103), Bauchi (44), Gombe (35), Plateau (31), Rivers (17), Sokoto (15), Kwara (13), Kano (9), Ebonyi (8), Ogun (5), Osun (5), Oyo (4), Edo (4), Anambra (4), Bayelsa (2), Ekiti (1), Taraba (1).

Out of the 74,132 cases that have been confirmed, 66,494 cases have been discharged and 1200 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Eko Hot Blog had reported that the Kaduna State government ordered the immediate closure of schools due to a spike in the number of new Coronavirus cases reported in the state.
In the same vein, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu is currently receiving treatment after testing positive for the virus on Sunday.
Lagos and Kaduna have witnessed a significant increase since the recent surge in the numbers of COVID-19 cases in the country.
