EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 209,387 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated October 18, the NCDC reports 89 new cases with 1 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 8 states – Kaduna (34), Abia (22), Delta (11), Kano (8), Rivers (8), Bauchi (4), Jigawa (1), and Zamfara (1).
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were recorded in Edo, Gombe and Sokoto States.
It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 197,312 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,838.
