EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 253,181 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated January 31, the NCDC reports 158 new cases with one COVID-related death.

The new cases were reported in 11 states – Anambra-82, Lagos-35, Akwa Ibom-13, Cross River-7, Kwara-6, FCT-5, Gombe-3, Kaduna-3, Bayelsa-2, Kano-1 and Nasarawa-1.
According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Delta, Edo, Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Rivers and Sokoto States.

It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 229,315 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 3,136.
