EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 209,960 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated October 19, the NCDC reports 247 new cases with 10 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in the FCT and 14 states – Plateau-49, FCT-46, Kano-29, Lagos-27, Kaduna-26, Gombe-14, Bauchi-11, Cross River-11, Kwara-11, Rivers-9, Ondo-8, Niger-2, Oyo-2, Edo-1 and Ekiti-1.
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were recorded in Imo and Sokoto States.
It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 198,026 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,850.
