COVID-19: NCDC Records 565 New Cases, 3 Deaths

• Total cases confirmed – 177,142
• Total cases discharged – 165,409
• Total deaths recorded – 2,181

The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 177,142 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated August 6, the NCDC reports 565 new cases with 3 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 17 states – Lagos-348, Rivers-70, Akwa Ibom-45, Oyo-36, FCT-24, Ekiti-15, Kwara-7, Ogun-7, Gombe-3, Anambra-2, Kaduna-2, Bayelsa-1, Cross River-1, Edo-1, Plateau-1, Sokoto-1 and Kano-1.

According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Nasarawa, Ondo and Osun States.

EKO HOT BLOG gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 165,409 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,181.
