The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 193,644 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated September 2, the NCDC reports 631 new cases with 8 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in the FCT and 19 states – Lagos-172, Oyo-93, Rivers-72, Edo-63, Katsina-29, Abia-26, FCT-23, Kano-23, Bayelsa-20, Ogun-20, Ekiti-18, Anambra-16, Delta-16, Osun-14, Imo-11, Benue-6, Enugu-4, Jigawa-2, Niger-2 and Nasarawa-1.
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Borno, Ondo, Sokoto and Zamfara States.
EKO HOT BLOG gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 179,294 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,488.
