[COVID-19] NCDC Confirms 118 Fresh Infections

  • Total cases confirmed – 254,777
  • Total cases discharged – 249,209
  • Total deaths recorded – 3,142

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 254,777 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated March 8, the NCDC reports 118 new cases with no COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 3 states – FCT (68), Lagos (49) and Rivers (1).

The infectious diseases agency added that sixty out of the 68 cases reported in the FCT were returnees from Ukraine.

According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Delta, Kano, Nasarawa, Plateau and Sokoto States.

It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 249,209 cases have been discharged while the death toll still stands at 3,142.
