EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 240,374 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated December 29, the NCDC reports 1,355 new cases with 1 COVID-related death.

The new cases were reported in 10 states – Lagos (1,036), Nasarawa (92), Delta (58), FCT (57), Edo (44), Rivers (25), Kano (23), Enugu (11), Plateau (6), and Bayelsa (3).
According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Sokoto States
It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 213,491 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 3,028.
