EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 222,655 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated December 17, the NCDC reports 1,584 new cases with one COVID-related death.

The new cases were reported in 11 states – Lagos-906, FCT-258, Rivers-217, Edo-85, Oyo-50, Ogun-16, Ondo-14, Bayelsa-12, Osun-10, Bauchi-9 and Kano-7.
According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Ekiti and Osun States.
It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 211,373 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,984.
