EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 248,732 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated January 10, the NCDC reports 420 new cases with 8 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 13 states – Lagos (103), Kwara (90), Akwa Ibom (49), FCT (39), Kano (33), Rivers (31), Cross River (17), Ogun (17), Kaduna (15), Edo (11), Niger (9), Oyo (5), and Abia (1).
According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Delta, Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Plateau and Sokoto States.
It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 219,479 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 3,085.
