COVID-19: NCDC Reports 497 New Infections, No Death

  • Total cases confirmed – 173,908
  • Total cases discharged – 164,994
  • Total deaths recorded – 2,149

The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 173,908 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated July 31, the NCDC reports 497 new cases with no COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 18 states – Lagos-211, Akwa Ibom-80, Kwara-73, Osun-29, Oyo-17, Rivers-17, Cross River-15, Edo-14, Anambra-9, Ogun-8, Ekiti-6, Bayelsa-4, FCT-4, Plateau-4, Bauchi-2, Nasarawa-2, Kaduna-1 and Jigawa-1.

According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Sokoto and Kano States.

EKO HOT BLOG gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 164,994 cases have been discharged while the death toll still stands at 2,149.
