The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 173,908 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated July 31, the NCDC reports 497 new cases with no COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 18 states – Lagos-211, Akwa Ibom-80, Kwara-73, Osun-29, Oyo-17, Rivers-17, Cross River-15, Edo-14, Anambra-9, Ogun-8, Ekiti-6, Bayelsa-4, FCT-4, Plateau-4, Bauchi-2, Nasarawa-2, Kaduna-1 and Jigawa-1.
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Sokoto and Kano States.
