[COVID-19] NCDC Reports 655 New Cases, Five Deaths

  • Total cases confirmed – 188,243
  • Total cases discharged – 169,035
  • Total deaths recorded – 2,281

The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 188,243 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated August 24, the NCDC reports 655 new cases with 5 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in the FCT and 8 states – Lagos-288, Rivers-188, Oyo-64, Akwa Ibom-31, FCT-28, Ekiti-21, Edo-17, Bayelsa-11 and Kaduna-7.

According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Nasarawa, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Plateau and Sokoto States.

EKO HOT BLOG gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 169,035 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,281.
