The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 180,661 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated August 12, the NCDC reports 753 new cases with 5 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 14 states – Lagos-364, Akwa Ibom-141, Oyo-74, Rivers-46, Abia-38, Ogun-24, Kwara-20, FCT-12, Ekiti-10, Delta-9, Edo-6, Plateau-5, Imo-3 and Bayelsa-1.
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Kaduna, Kano, Nasarawa, Ondo, Osun and Sokoto States.
EKO HOT BLOG gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 166,560 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,200.
