COVID-19: Nigeria Records 163 New Cases, Total Now 60,266

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Sunday disclosed that the country has 163 new cases of COVID-19 in twelve states.

The agency made the disclosure in its update and situation report for the infection for October 11, 2020.

According to the agency, no death was recorded on Sunday which leaves the COVID-19 fatality toll standing at 1,115.

Meanwhile the country recorded its lowest daily discharge count in October with 34 persons certified free of of the infection and discharged on Sunday bring the total number of those discharged to 51,735.

The breakdown of the new positive samples shows Lagos, the epicenter of the pandemic in Nigeria, with 113 new cases, followed by Kaduna which has 21 cases.

Others are Osun with 8 new cases, Ondo – 5, Oyo-5, Ogun-3, Bayelsa – 2, Taraba-2, while 5 states recorded a cases each.
